The urban vinyl trend was first started by Michael Lau who first created vinyl action figures in Hong Kong in the 90s. Takashi Murakami has been featured int he Museum of Comtemporary Art in Tokyo. Other very popular artists would include Nathan Jurevicius of Australia as well as the American concert poster artist, Frank Kozik.
